Smelled old and decor is uninviting and creepy. Dust topped old dolls starting at you while you eat. One server. One cook with an uncovered beard and ponytail. How I didn't get a hair in my food is beyond me. VERY slow service, but was pleasantly surprised with the food. Decent diner breakfast and the homemade gravy is delicious. But, probably wouldn't go back here.

My experience at Pattie's came about from me craving a bit of a PDX dive cafe experience and left me telling myself I should be careful what I ask for.
I was by myself and ordered a BBQ Ham Sandwich with chips $7.25 which the menu says is served Open Face. When I arrived there were just 3 other tables seated. After close to 20 minutes waiting and seeing that it appeared the cook hadn't even started my sandwich I politely asked the gal to please make my order to go as I needed to leave. She was very nice btw! She tells the cook and within 2 min my food arrives boxed up. I waited almost 20 min for him to be able to make it up in 2 min. Whatever really, that's not the big deal.
I look at my food and it is not an open face sandwich at all. It is a few slices of ham in between a couple of pieces of thin toast with BBQ sauce squirted on it. I'm hungry and decide to eat 1/2 of the sandwich in my car and yes it is just as it looked. a few slices of what tasted and looked like packaged sliced ham ala Oscar Meyer with watery and weak tasting BBQ Sauce squirted on it. The sandwich was by no means inedible but terrible really and not worth the $7.25 which is inexpensive for a sandwich in a restaurant these days. It rates up there with one of the most ridiculous things served me. -

Not worth the time. When we walked in we all thought it was weird that it was an antique(used goods) shop with a restaurant attached. I mean how do you get a food license with all that dust. After taking a table we waited quite a bit for the food. Maybe 40 min before the food came. The food itself wasn't bad, just a dirty place and a really long wait.

My wife and I tried Patties twice. We really wanted to like it but there are a few things that we just couldn't get over. For starters the smell is not unbearable but certainly not pleasant. And our clothes smelled like musty fried food for days after. Second thing is that while seated in a booth I had to kill a COCKROACH under my feat! So when our food came out it was very hard to enjoy it. Our waitress was very nice however.
It's so sad because with a good cleaning and new management this place could be booming. And they would get all our business. Unfortunately we will not be going back. -

If i could rate this place a 0 i would it definitely has heath code VIOLATIONS
Written all over it went there today 8/25/19
Seriously slow Service, not once did the long hair cook nor the waitress ever wash their hands the whole time we were there, waitress helped a customer get items from behind the junk counter handing the customer items exchange money then returned to picking up food that was waiting on the counter to be served never washed her hands, the long haired cook went out front and smoked a cigarette came back from outside went right back to the grill and proceeded to get hashbrowns from the bucket with his dirty hands not once did he wash his hands after returning from outside he took bread out of the bag with his dirty hands picked up a nasty fan that was sitting on the floor then went back to cooking nope didn't wash his hands. Bread was stale, hashbrowns were burnt flat as a pancake
He acts like he doesnt give a shit about anything. .. I work in the food industry and this my friends THIS RESTAURANT IS A MAJOR HEALTH CODE VIOLATION ..
